Côté Terre: megalithic sites and hiking in Erdeven

Discover the Kerzerho alignments in Erdeven, the second most important Breton megalithic site after the Carnac alignments. Free parking is available all year round at the entrance to the menhir fields. You'll discover 190 stones lined up over a distance of around 2km. Then take the megaliths hiking trail to see the Kerzerho stone giants: they are 6 metres high and weigh 40 tonnes! If you're visiting in summer, take advantage of the guided tours organized by the Tourist Office.

After a 2-hour stroll through the fields of menhirs, discover the impressive Crucuno estate, one of the largest in Europe. Morbihan Sud. The monument measured 27m, but today only the burial chamber remains.

Situated 31m above the sea, on the highest point of Erdeven, discover the Mané-Braz dolmens, La Grande Colline« in Breton, a dozen menhirs forming 3 dolmens. These are the remains of an ancient cairn or tumulus.

Don't miss Kéravéon Park

During your visit to Erdeven, discover the Parc de Kéravéon, A lovely 20-hectare park with 3 lakes, a fitness trail, children's play areas and a botanical trail. The park's stylized entrance gate was listed as a historic monument on November 19, 1941. A park that invites the whole family, including animals, to relax and have fun.

In the middle of the forest is an isolated group of menhirs, one of which is very large and shaped like a seat. It has been nicknamed «Caesar's Chair» in reference to the occupation of the commune by Roman armies.

Côté Mer: water sports, dunes and beaches at Erdeven

Just 3km from the Ria d'Etel, Erdeven offers 8km of beach and wild dunes. Its best-known beach is Kerhillio, with its splendid view of the Quiberon peninsula and Belle Île en Mer. A family beach, but also ideal for fans of board sports: kite surfing, sand yachting, paddle boarding... 
Visit Kerouriec beach is more rocky, but ideal for a moment of relaxation or an introduction to crab fishing. For a wild sandy beach at Erdeven, opt for Kerminihy beach. It extends over 2km and is one of the largest in the commune. The beach is open to naturists. 

When you're out and about on the paths, greenways and cycle paths in Erdeven, And don't forget to explore the dunes, preserved in their wild state. They are part of the largest dune massif in Brittany, stretching 35 km from Gâvres to Quiberon, and have been awarded the Grand Site de France label.
