The circular economy is a form of economy in which we are actively involved. You may not have heard of it yet...
What is the circular economy?
According to Insee, this is «The organization of economic and social activities using modes of production, consumption and exchange based on eco-design, the repairthe re-use and the recycling, to reduce resources as well as the environmental damage. »
L'circular economy works in a loop, abolishing the notion of «waste». Its aim is to produce goods and services for limit consumption and waste raw materials and sources of energy non-renewable.
One man's waste is another man's resource!
The circular economy in the hotel world
The hotel industry is a business that can have a strong impact on the planet. That's why more and more hotels are taking action to reduce their carbon footprint.
Among them: installing smart energy sensors, reducing plastic packaging in bathrooms (soap, etc.), reducing paper and flyer printing, offering local products, offering not to wash sheets and towels every day, and many more.
Adopting a circular economy is an integral part of this ecological system. The aim is to’save resources at most refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle (and therefore repair as soon as possible). We're talking about 3R or 4R, which enable us to improve our practices with a view to saving resources.

- Our yoga deck in Audierne is made entirely from wood salvaged from old mobile home decks.
- The railings for our new terrace and building in Audierne were made from the wood of our old terrace.
- Some frames have been decorated with wallpaper scraps from the establishments.
- Thanks to the wood salvaged from second-hand lodges in the Vendée, several installations will be made in Audierne for the 2023 season: the yoga terrace will be covered and enlarged, a covered bike room and a covered picnic area for campers will be created, and we'll be making gratings for the wooden cabins as well as railings, ...
- Several objects are diverted from their original use and given a second life: a suitcase as a box, a cot as a bench, a bottle as a lamp or a wheelbarrow as a barbecue.
