Brittany is a region full of surprises, with a deep-rooted culture, a microclimate, a gastronomy appreciated by all and breathtaking landscapes! We offer you a road trip in Southern Brittany with destinations not to be missed, between wild coasts, cliffs, ocean and forests, there are many confidential spots where you can spend the night and wake up facing the ocean.

The Gulf of Morbihan and Quiberon Bay

Mor Bihan means little sea in Breton. Discover Morbihan by following our itinerary. In 7 days, cover 100km: 

● Arzon 
● Vannes

● La Trinité-sur-Mer / Carnac 
● Quiberon and its peninsula

Located at the entrance to the Morbihan Gulf, the municipality of’Arzon has the privilege of being ideally situated for observing the tidal spectacle. At the gateway to Arzon, stop off at the Tumulus of Tumiac, where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama. 

The next step is Valves, Vannes is the 4th largest city in Brittany, so leave your van behind for a day and visit this pretty town. Within Vannes, you'll find some lovely little strolls through the narrow streets and ramparts. Don't forget to visit the port of VannesChâteau Gaillard or even place des lices !

The next step is Arradon ! You're back on the road in your converted van, heading for the charming seaside resort of Arradon and its beaches of Kerlibouet and Pen Boc'h. In Arradon you can once again leave your converted van behind and take a boat trip to reach l'Île-aux -Moines ! Then you can continue on to the pretty little ports of Larmor-Baden and Bono.

For the 4th leg of the Naéco van trip, we headed for the town of’Auray, a small medieval town. Take a stroll through the lively town center, visit the mythical port of Saint-Goustan, browse the many art galleries or simply go shopping.

Continue with the 5th stage, heading for the Trinité-sur-Mer and Carnac, La Trinité is a must-see stopover in Quiberon Bay. On the seaside, stroll along the customs paths and discover the heritage of La Trinité. Then, in Carnac, take a look at the menhirs, These astonishing standing stones are full of mystery.

Last stop on the road trip Quiberon peninsula and its wild coastline! Once past Isme de Penthièvre, park at the Fozo parking lot. You can then stroll along the coastal paths towards the Pointe du Percho and make a short stop at the large beach at Port Blanc. Quiberon has many other little corners of paradise, such as the Port Haliguen or Pointe du Conguel.

South Finistère and the surrounding area

One of the best ways to discover South Finistere is to take a van trip ! You travel from place to place, step by step, according to your time and your desires. We've put together a small selection of emblematic places around our hostels in Audierne and Le Pouldu.

From Audierne to Crozon

During your stay at Naéco Audierne, you can explore the surrounding area in our converted van. We've put together a selection of 4 places for you to discover:

● Pointe du Raz

At the start of our hostel in Audierne which is ideally located, you can start your crossing by discovering the port of Audierne, walking along the Capucins footbridge until Trescadec lighthouse which will take you to Audierne's long beach.

Then head for the Pointe du Raz, A well-known spot in Brittany, it's the perfect place to come and admire the sunset over the water. Just across the road, you can see The island of Sein. You can get there in 1 hour by boat from Audierne.

For the 3rd stage, head for Douarnenez and the best way to visit the city is to follow the famous sardine trail, with a total of 17 small bronze sardines nailed to the ground. With this route you can be sure not to miss a thing.

The last step is the Crozon peninsula, without neglecting the Cap de la chèvre. Follow the paths of the GR34 to admire the view from the top of the cliffs, and continue to the southernmost tip of Crozon, called Cap de la chèvre. And don't miss Virgin Island, a lost paradise!

From Pouldu to Quimper

Start your road trip in the small seaside resort of Le Pouldu, very close to our hostel. Naéco Le Pouldu ! You have access to Kérou beach, ideal for surfing. Closer to the center of Le Pouldu you'll also find Grands Sables beach where you can practice one of the outdoor activities or simply relax in the sun. Just a few kilometers from Le Pouldu, we recommend a visit to the port of Doëlan, It's a typical Breton landscape.

Let's continue to the west of Brittany, with the small village of Pont-Aven, known as «the painters» village". From there, it's just 15 km to Concarneau.

Your journey continues with Concarneau, where part of the city lies in the Ville Close, classified as a historic monument since 1899. Once you've crossed it, you'll see a number of small stores, bars and restaurants.

Finally, end your trip in Quimper, You can take a stroll through the historic town center, admire the half-timbered houses and take a break to sample one of their delicious crêpes.
