Indeed, if we look at the definition of a youth hostel on Wikipedia, we learn that :
«A youth hostel (YH) is a tourist accommodation that provides travelers with beds in shared rooms, from 2 to 8 places or more, depending on the hostel. Some youth hostels also offer activities and services: leisure, sports, youth meetings, meals (including breakfasts), bar, collective kitchen.»
Naéco Audierne is basically a hotel-campsite & Lodges. However, we have converted one of our rooms into a 6-person dormitory, and are now able to accommodate up to 4 people. we offer beds by the night (from 15€ per night). The idea is to be able to offer different types of accommodation to suit everyone: from a bare campsite pitch at 11€ to a double room from 55€ or a bed from 15€, youngsters and backpackers alike will easily find the formula that suits them best.
So much for the dormitory, but what about the activities and services offered at the youth hostel?
In terms of services, guests staying at the hotel (in single rooms or dormitories) have free access to the bathroom and shower facilities, the laundry, and our shared kitchen, where they can whip up some tasty dishes on their own. A dining room is also available for breakfast and socializing with fellow travelers.
A lounge area is also available to guests staying at the hotel: relax and read around our wood-burning stove, surf the Internet on our wifi, watch surfing sessions on our flat-screen TV, or play board games to meet new people having the same experience as you at Naéco Audierne.
Last but not least, our terrace bar-snack bar is available to all our guests for relaxing, chatting or simply drinking a local beer while talking surf or hiking.
As far as activities are concerned, our establishment conveys a little spirit surf house in Audierne by offering snow sports activities, but not only. Hiking, biking, scuba diving, yoga or pilates are just some of the activities we can offer.

If you don't use Waze, you'll need to search for the bridge between Audierne and Plouhinec.
When you have found the bridge :
By the public transport Get off at the stop closest to the bridge (just before the bridge if you're on line 53, or in front of the post office if you're on line 52) and follow the directions above.
No GPS required: just follow the road up into the woods on the Plouhinec side of the bridge. Turn right after a small parking lot, skirt the stadium and turn left after the wall. Distance from the bridge: 300 m, and it's signposted.
From the GR34: ditto, as the GR34 passes over the bridge (leave the GR on the Plouhinec side of the bridge). Don't miss the pedestrian shortcut just after the small parking lot.
