This tumulus, erected atop the granite promontory, comprises two superimposed cairns. The upper cairn contains two megalithic monuments, including a Middle Neolithic dolmen containing human bones dated between 4500 and 4090 BC. On this site, we also found a pile of shells (now virtually extinct) dating back to the Mesolithic period, left by the men and women of the time who fed mainly on shells.

Around Pointe de la Torche

If you're not a fan of sliding sport, You'll be able to stroll along the Bay of Audierne, observe the megalithic sites, watch the surfers at sea, relax on the Pors Carn beach or why not take a horse ride.

In spring, come and admire the many tulips grown here. And in summer, you may be lucky enough to observe a nesting colony of European bee-eaters, the only one in Brittany.

Visit Pointe de la Torche Finistère will amaze you with its wild beauty and offer you a complete change of scenery.

Your Naéco accommodation near Pointe de la Torche

You can also discover this place on a road trip in a converted van, Take a ride along the coast to the Pointe de la Torche and discover Audierne's most beautiful beaches.
