Here, it is cooked on a billig, the&nbsp;<strong>traditional Breton crepe maker<\/strong>. Most often plain, it can also be filled with prune cream or with&nbsp;<strong>salted butter caramel<\/strong>. Initially, it was a porridge cooked in a sack and served salted as an accompaniment to meat. The recipe then evolved to become the essential&nbsp;<strong>far breton&nbsp;<\/strong>of today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taste the coffee ones&nbsp;<strong>Le Ster La\u00efta<\/strong>&nbsp;in Clohars-Carno\u00ebt near Le Pouldu, apparently it's a delight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Near Erdeven, try the one from&nbsp;<strong>la Galetti\u00e8re<\/strong>a delight...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kig-ha-farz<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously considered a \"poor man's recipe\", the<strong>&nbsp;kig ha farz<\/strong>&nbsp;is a typical recipe often called&nbsp;<strong>le pot au feu breton&nbsp;<\/strong>\". Its speciality comes from the farz, a kind of filling made from<strong>&nbsp;wheat flour&nbsp;<\/strong>or buckwheat cooked in broth. This typical dish is ideal for convivial occasions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During your stay in Le Pouldu, taste the one from the&nbsp;<strong>cr\u00eaperie La Charrette<\/strong>&nbsp;in Saint-Evarzec (about 45min drive). As well as being very good, you'll appreciate the restaurant's original, authentic decor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Morbihan, head for Lorient, a 30-minute drive from Erdeven, to enjoy a good Kig Ha Farz in a special atmosphere at Tavarn Ar Roue Morvan. This dish is only available one day of the week - just ask at the restaurant!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Salted butter caramel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A confection made with caramelized sugar, salted butter and fresh cream, the&nbsp;<strong>salted butter caramel&nbsp;<\/strong>is no longer in need of introduction! Enjoy it as a small sweet, a lollipop (why not a Niniche?), on delicious cr\u00eapes or in a kouign-amann, it's sure to tantalize your taste buds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You'll find them all over Brittany! Whether in a cr\u00eaperie or at a&nbsp;<strong>Maison Biscuits Caramels<\/strong>&nbsp;in Plouhinec, close to our premises in Audierne. You can also find them in bakeries and pastry shops, as well as in every<strong>&nbsp;Breton product stores<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Near Na\u00e9co Erdeven, stock up at<strong>&nbsp;La Trinitaine<\/strong>&nbsp;in the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The chouchen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, to accompany all these&nbsp;<strong>Breton dishes<\/strong>what could be better than a local drink?&nbsp;<strong>chouchen<\/strong>&nbsp;! Made by fermenting a mixture of water and honey, chouchen is an alcoholic beverage ranging from 12% to 15%. It's the perfect accompaniment to desserts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find them in cider or delicatessen stores in the vicinity of our establishments. For example, in Locoal-Mendon at the Cidrerie du Pays d'Auray, just a few minutes' drive from Na\u00e9co Erdeven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a non-exhaustive list of some of Brittany's specialities, but there are many others... such as the<strong>andouille from Gu\u00e9m\u00e9n\u00e9<\/strong>the cotriade, the&nbsp;<strong>Breton cider<\/strong>&nbsp;but also different&nbsp;<strong>seafood<\/strong>&nbsp;like oysters and mussels!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find all these specialties near our establishments in Southern Brittany, and don't hesitate to ask for advice.
