This illustrates our common desire to promote a sustainable tourism<\/strong> and raise public awareness of the importance of preserving water resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Founded in 1969 as the Association pour la Protection des Salmonid\u00e9s en Bretagne (APPSB), theAssociation Eau et Rivi\u00e8res de Bretagne<\/a> was the brainchild of fishermen and naturalists concerned about the alarming decline in salmon populations in Brittany's rivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n From the outset, APPSB has been committed to the protecting aquatic environments<\/strong>a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and defending the environment. In 1983, the association broadened its scope to encompass all issues relating to water and the natural environment, adopting the name ofEau et Rivi\u00e8res de Bretagne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Over the decades, the association has developed recognized expertise in the field of sustainable management of water resources<\/strong>It has also been actively involved in river restoration, wetland protection and pollution control programs.
